@yc+1jsdd13k3: When did they show Suren the door? He FFS got promoted after mismanaging tech for years. And Zulfi has his circus clown, Kamal, out there spinning plates, juggling ba--s and putting on the same act he put on over in claims. As another poster pointed out-they've got this OBD 'certification' they can point to cover up the underlying organizational rot.

If history is any indicator, what will happen is it will eventually become obvious what a sham this latest delivery model is and the perpetrators will either parachute out or get promoted. The middle management a-s kissers-the people who prevent this company from changing at all-will scatter like roaches until a new self important tu-d emerges from the chaos with some fresh snake oil; then they know who to su-k up to. We'll 'reimagine' some more people off the payroll, nothing will really have changed and the cycle will start all over again.

When is Tom Wilson and the Board going to show Zulfi the door? How many more severe consequences of his actions do they need to see?

ASC was not properly architected. Several well-respected tech folk proved (with actual data) that the proposed solutions were worse than existing applications. And we're seeing the result of that now. ASC applications are a mess. A bunch of micro services that have increased network traffic to accomplish the simplest of tasks. There's an atmosphere of just doing what you're told, you can't question anything or you're on a hit list. I don't know what the actual insurance products are like, but the supporting technology is built of straw.

OBD certification is a giant waste of time. It's meaningless paperwork. Okay, you've ticked a bunch of boxes so poof you're a product team now. What a joke. The underlying issues with team composition and the way the work is structured are wholly unaddressed by this nonsense. DPMs have given all kinds of feedback about the ongoing issues with OBD and it goes nowhere. And Allstate will continue to get its a-s kicked in the market place. When it become obvious even to senior management what a sham it is because they still can't deliver, the architects of this asinine exercise will likely parachute out.

Remember 3rd grade when you teacher put a gold star on your forehead because you made it to the bathroom without dribbling on the floor? That's about how meaningful OBD certification is.

Technology is tied up in ridiculous OBD certification.
What a f*cking waste of time.

ASC was properly architected and they actually started to build it that way, but a few million dollars down that rabbit hole and they realized the commitment in both time and money to actually do it right, got scared and reverted to type to hit a date and get somebody, or several somebodies, their bonus checks. So they pushed a sh---y, flawed MVP out on the door on that and rather than pausing to address the tech debt they created and fix the garbage product, they kept going on all the cans they'd already kicked down the road...e.g.....all the features that had others' bonus checks riding on them so they had to be done already committed dates.

Combine this kind of 'sp-t into the wind' work management with the ongoing politicking and infighting of small minded, self important middle managers and outright ignorance of reality on the part of senior management and the antics of tech ignorant, narcissistic, empire building clowns like Kamal and...voila...you have ASC as it stands today.

The ASC way is to push new code out the door as quickly as possible. Keeping systems stable, fixing bugs etc. is way down the list.

Taking a breath to properly plan or even architect a new system is not in the mindset of our clueless overlords. Just more! Faster! Forward!

Kind of hard to expect us to do much of anything when we are stuck with thousands, yes literally thousands, of open tickets for the disastrous ASC product that we have been told are of top priority. Maybe if the product was developed and built right from the start we wouldn't be in this embarrassing position as a company. Just another in a long line of bedshitting from the hacks running and ruining this mess.

The clapping seals and worshipping the elephant worshipers will only take this smoldering heap of a company so far. Finally it is all catching up.

That's what we get for having clueless nimrods in the ivory tower.
