Thread regarding Refinitiv layoffs

SAS

SAS 2025 was a disappointing spectacle, a cheap show mirroring everything LSEG stands for—void of inspiration and lacking motivation. In many locations, people carried on with their work, merely pretending to watch the hollow display of buzzwords. The so-called motivational speaker left us with one clear takeaway: escape now—there’s a real life beyond this.

Funny how a frustrated semi-professional YES-MAN-Manager criticizes freedom of expression in a public forum

We urge you to part ways with selfish, deceitful opportunists and return our company to us, rather than leaving it in this toxic environment filled with meaningless jargon.

Pretty funny to see an LSEG manager post in here, and in one sentence confirm all the negative things said about the organization in active (and previously deleted) posts.

LSEG management believes toxicity is “anyone who disagrees with the dictatorship”. In reality, if the place was more inclusive and democratic, criticism wouldn’t end up in anonymous public message boards.

@y9+1jjxf7299 There’s a stark difference between the public image leaders craft on LinkedIn and the reality their employees experience every day. On panels and posts, they speak about innovation, collaboration, and empowering teams—but behind closed doors, they push people out, stifle dissent, and create environments where only those in their inner circle thrive.

They curate carefully polished success stories, while sites like this shed light on the truth—broken promises, performative initiatives, and a revolving door of disillusioned employees. This site isn’t ‘toxic’—it’s one of the few places where the real impact of leadership is exposed, unfiltered and unpolished.

And for those forced to leave, the irony is that in their next role, we’ll be asked why they left. The truth? We were bullied out. But to stay professional, they’ll have to sugarcoat it—because admitting the workplace was toxic might raise red flags. So instead, we’ll say something vague about 'seeking new challenges' or 'a misalignment in vision.'

Meanwhile, the managers they left remains unchanged, cycling through new hires until leadership finally realizes that the real problem isn’t the people leaving—it’s the ones making them go.

@y9+1jjxf7299 Translation: “Do not publicly criticize the mid-tier management trading and banking flunkies that now comprise LSEG senior management. They worked hard to fire all the Refinitiv SMEs and concoct never-ending initiatives to provide themselves job security through retirement. God forbid the media, investors or their management sees this criticism and then the gig is up. Please take your buyout and leave so they can continue deceiving investors and collect their salaries in peace.”

This site is becoming more and more toxic. If you are unhappy at LSEG just leave

The leadership at LSEG is as weak as any company in the world. They couldn’t inspire someone to make a sandwich, let alone crush ever increasing, unrealistic sales targets for selling an archaic financial desktop platform. It’s like selling a horse at a car dealership.
