AIP Eligibility?

For those that were RIF’d before 12/31/24, do they pay out your AIP at the end of your severance period? I hope those that were impacted thus far are eligible!

This applies to any and all bonuses.

My understanding from the paperwork, QIP staff will get their QIP bonus through the last quarter worked but for AIP you don’t get a bonus if you’re no longer with the company, unless you work through Q4, which those RIFF’d last day is Sep 6, before the 4th quarter. They ain’t d-mb

True but you must retire in Q4 prior to bonus or Q1 of the payout year. And the manager could give a low performance score dropping your amount. So having a good relationship with your manager is key

If you’re able to officially “retire” as part of a RIF I “think” you are eligible for a prorated AIP payout the following March. Check to verify because my knowledge of this is a year old and it might have changed

When I was RIFd in Feb, they kept me on for the March bonus, but, gave me a 'partially meets expectations' so that it was only a half bonus. I learned later that even though the position was eliminated, they did that as a CYA according to attorneys.

If you are eligible for AIP and work at least a portion of Q4, then the payout would come in March 2025. I was RIF'd in Oct 2023 and received AIP in Mar 2024. I received a prorated amount and it was slightly less than my target amount, even taking into the prorating. Managers have discretion on how much to give, so best to not count too much on it though.

Thanks for letting me know. My heart goes out to all that have been RIF’d. I pray all land in a much better place!

You are only eligible if you work at the company in Q4.

That is one of the reasons for the August RIF, there will be no AIP for those let go.
