Thread regarding USAA layoffs

ECIO employee satisfaction is at 33%

And their target is 44%. Both these numbers are concerning.

If they will cook the Pulse books to get their bonus, ask what other books they are willing to cook….

To those people who are new, we used to have 80% satisfaction ratings back in the day. When you can't make the target, lower it.

If that’s so, the real question then: WHO are those 33%? Are they Amala’s friends she hired?

Yeppers, those numbers stuck out like a canker sore on that slide, everything green but that awful festering sore could not be ignored. Having the bar set at 44%??? Really aiming high, aren't we? That's like asking Usain Bolt to run a hundred meter dash in under an hour. At least people have been carpetbombing Pulse with the low numbers, and for that we thank you.

Its a "debacle" for USAA because thats more money they need to foot for insurance costs, they were already in the red this year before this event now their losses have just amplified. Debacle is the correct term for what USAA is doing business. They have lost BIGLY on investments and operating costs on the bank side wonder how huge that loss will be this year, might even double last years.

Did you catch that she called the tragedy in Hawaii this week she called a "debacle"! WTH. People died and many have lost everything. That is a 'debacle'? She is so full of herself, it makes it hard to watch these TH's. Hypocrite -- Pushing RTO and collaborating in the office but she has a TH on Zoom.

Such a mess as usual. I did my pulse survey for the first time in a while. I’m guessing they think that more responses will raise the score but I think they are forgetting about people like me that think that thing is useless.

I guess it’s positive that her headcount plan is steady for the next 3 years. Can’t wait for the reorgs she’s “not ready to talk about”… going to be fun to see the gymnastics to lay off as many seniors and leads as possible and replace them with college hires. Or maybe just make it as miserable as possible so that people leave without severance.

Previously on the ECIO TH, Amala was obviously mad and angry and the opposite today. It's quite hard to be in her shoes. ECIO is like the Texas weather, unpredictable. Last time, the focus was Cloud First, and today Generative AI and Innovation. Wondering what the next theme would be. Maybe going back to basics?

Once Charlie shaves that bushy mustache, employee satisfaction % will jump up.

Sure must be nice to be able to control the scorecard like that. Too bad non-EMG has to go with the actual fu----g numbers….

Just got another job offer with a 25% pay boost and full remote. Amala said she doesn't see any increase in attrition. Well add this software engineer to the list, im out in a few weeks.

44% is low for EDs and above to meet their bonus. They want the 100% participation to increase their bonus. ED had slipped in a meeting.

All they have to do is fire all the unhappy employees and they just might hit that lofty 44% target. That would work if you could fire half a team and have the other half remain happy, that is... I'm sure there is a consultant somewhere who can sell that idea. We just need more enthusiasm and "engagement" from the execs, and maybe more tacos or something. Something cheap.

Both numbers are so low. Either way their target is less than half of the employees are satisfied? In trying to attract top talent, why would anyone want to come to a company where less than half of their employees are satisfied?

And Amala clarified she made the needle land on 44% because she took into account the angst around RTO etc. in other words, she lowered the bar to try to fight off all of our negative comments and ratings - and this plan still failed.
