Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Eternal study on Midland Premium

We sure can cut benefits quickly but it takes eternal study to bring them back. I heard today keep sending out those applications to competitors.

Yeah being overworked isn’t exciting.

Top of mind? Looking hard at it? How about some decisive ACTION!!!!

Does anyone else wonder if the LT practiced their positivity speeches before pulling us all into the forum? #EverythingIsAwesome

So he thinks he is too frank and is being coached on this he says. So now our VPs have coaches? Why do the best and the brightest need coaching? Should t we just pick someone who already has the skills rather than pay a consultant to fix them?

My favorite comment was about worrying where/how employees are getting their information. For info pertaining to our career & benefits, we’re 100% getting it from this website because, despite the number of times management parrots the word “transparency”, there’s none to be had. Example: would be great to know now if our rank groups are subject to the “alternative distribution” they talked about this morning.

I don’t believe in anything they say

If you really want to know what’s going on in this place they would have allowed anonymous questions and have an anonymous survey after.

Such a waste of my time today.

Everything looked like a circus 🤡 butch of clowns

Told you so. Your treated like your the Kearl of the South unless your a woman on Engineering Day or the female daughter, new hire who will get extra special treatment at ExxonMobil. While she lives in Houston with her Executive RSUs equal to her annual salary and does not care about the 401k match, with a state of the art gym, a beautiful home, short commute to the Crystal Palace and laughing all the way to the bank. And we dry up in the heat of the desert. Your 30% was wasted on all those under utilized assets that got built by those id--t VPs who supported the Value Added Chain and the Lean Into Strategy when there was plenty of third party spare capacity in the marketplace to handle our production.

Epic fail answering question of why new hires would want to work here. No one is going to join a dying company in a dying industry that is outsourcing jobs to India

I about died laughing when the lady said she encouraged her kids to apply at ExxonMobil. I suppose with good old boys network it is a winning recommendation. Maybe they can work for her. I bet the worker bees aren’t giving the same advice to their kids.

Plenty other oil companies never dropped their 401k match. So much for we are the safest place in a downturn.

Figured it was going to be a waste of time so didn't attend. They will keep "looking into it" while 8% MLRP continues. Surprised Bart didn't say...but I gave you all ice cream couple of weeks ago...it's that enough?!

More basics. Where is the lower cost HMO option? Where is the recognition that Midland has such higher cost of living and fewer services.

Maybe if we are paying for the nice Houston amenities we should have similar amenities? Where is my on-site gym with classes? Where is my on-site child care? Where is my on site dining?

Would it be so hard to set a metric? We have to generate $x or be profitable for x quarters.

They promised in writing the premium would last until December 2020 then pulled it early. They also said in writing it was cost of living adjustment then denied this when they cancelled it.

Well they did say 401k won’t come back until we pay down debt and there are several quarters of profits. Sounds like it won’t be happening anytime soon. 2022 maybe? If it was soon they wouldn’t keep saying they are looking at it.

Not only that you said it once but you kept saying it over and over and over for months on end. No progress. Same answer. Still looking at it. No commitment to when you will deliver answer.

Moral is so bad and this will make worst.

I just want people to be treat well in his company. But Exxon empower bosses to keep bullying employees.

"We're looking at it? " imagine if you said that that to Bart about something he asked from you.
