How bad are FP employees being treated? Is it any worse than Mega, AG, or even ES employees, or about the same? Yes, the executive have theirs heads up their donkeys. But, I think you'll find that there are same cast of characters in every branch of the company

We should have organized a Union for our workers rights years ago, and now we see the ramifications of not having any kind of large scale workers protection.

FP is incredibly naive, and has been for years about how they will be treated by Mattel. Community doesn’t matter. Friendship doesn’t matter. Talent and hard work don’t matter…what matters is whatever the execs at Mattel want, full stop. Every other post on here is discussing how poorly FP gets treated, and talk to people in person and they know it there too. It’s so tiring to go in circles like this and always feel like we’re reactionary, and not preventative in the measures we take.

No person, role, gender, etc deserved it. And certainly no one deserved it more than anyone else. Period. Stop.

People were treated like cattle yesterday and you’re concerned about more males than females getting let go? What is actually wrong with you?

Male or female, they may not have seen it coming.
Male or female, they are human.
Male or female, they have bills to pay.
Make or female, they likely have kids or families.
I could keep going but I won’t waste my energy.

Take a fu--ing seat and volunteer for the layoffs next time - you’re clearly a problem.

Without programs like STEM and others, it’s harder for women to establish themselves and their careers.

Severance is:

1 week salary for each year of service
+
1 week salary for each $300 of weekly base salary
+
1 percent of annual salary for each birthday attained over age 39.

total payment divided into X number of biweekly installments.

3 months of current health coverage after separation date.
