FP campus is being sold to Moog solar array division. FP leadership already talking about cuts in the fall. Prepare yourselves for the inevitable.
How bad are FP employees being treated? Is it any worse than Mega, AG, or even ES employees, or about the same? Yes, the executive have theirs heads up their donkeys. But, I think you'll find that there are same cast of characters in every branch of the company
We should have organized a Union for our workers rights years ago, and now we see the ramifications of not having any kind of large scale workers protection.
FP is incredibly naive, and has been for years about how they will be treated by Mattel. Community doesn’t matter. Friendship doesn’t matter. Talent and hard work don’t matter…what matters is whatever the execs at Mattel want, full stop. Every other post on here is discussing how poorly FP gets treated, and talk to people in person and they know it there too. It’s so tiring to go in circles like this and always feel like we’re reactionary, and not preventative in the measures we take.
No person, role, gender, etc deserved it. And certainly no one deserved it more than anyone else. Period. Stop.
People were treated like cattle yesterday and you’re concerned about more males than females getting let go? What is actually wrong with you?

Why are they laying people off in El Segundo? Isn't that where jobs are supposed to be going to?

Severance is:
1 week salary for each year of service
+
1 week salary for each $300 of weekly base salary
+
1 percent of annual salary for each birthday attained over age 39.
total payment divided into X number of biweekly installments.
3 months of current health coverage after separation date.
Hope they start handing out the morphine, FP is going into Hospice. She ain't going to last much longer.

But has anything been said about the transition of these brands, which were in the middle of developing products?
Sounds like a lot of people have end dates months from now. Are they going to see those products through to completion before giving to ES?

Which VP’s were let go? Heard design VP G.W. and marketing VP E.J. got booted.
No leadership. No answers to how we're supposed to work with half the resources. No rhyme or reason to many of the eliminations.
Hardly anyone left in D&D. Not sure how you go forward at this point. Can't wait to see the vision on how we have a good year given the place is gutted.
