I am sorry to hear you did not land a role mate. You are correct, the weakest link gets a job because they are friends with the managers. We have one in our team, he can't take on any significant workload but he was selected to remain on our team while others were not selected. I do not understand how Chevron can make these decisions and they claimed the Job owner was not part of the selection process, but there is no way this guy received a job for his experience or work accomplishments. He was rescued because he is friends with the job owner. Fortunately for me, I received a position but others on my team were not selected. Not fair and creates a weaker team in the process.

i applied to roles i was either a perfect fit or overqualified for. even gave additional roles in case those filled up. didn’t get a single one, while the weakest link on every project I’ve ever been on found a new PDC role. it’s all politics and makes total sense why this company is failing. have fun with the consequences
Left standing, again. Meanwhile I’ve seen POs with zero technical knowledge land data engineer roles in the new org just because they kiss the right a-s….. this place is an absolute joke especially for IT

@ep The people that didn't get selected will still get a call. Theirs just my not have come yet. Those calls should be wrapped up by early next week. Like @dp said, if you didn't get a call by end of day Wednesday, you were not selected. It's a tough blow. But let these messages relieve the waiting and anxiety so you can focus on preparing for your next steps.
What if you didn’t get a call or email is that another way of saying you didn’t get selected which is kinda weird cause I know somebody who got a call yesterday and they wasn’t selected
@em I think for some functions end of day Thu? I think "selected" first, then "Not Selected" next.
@dp is correct. Deadline for verbal (call/email etc) selected notification was end of day Wed.

I suspect if you got a job you will be notified by Monday. They seemed to have notified everybody who didn’t make the list.

It’s pretty great that they had the selection reps deliver the bad news when it’s the hiring managers that ultimately laid people off
Sounds like nothing but bad news were sent today after meetings were concluded.. this sounds just like the selections we had
Depending on your PDR, they will take their time to let you know the bad news. If it is good news u would already be notified as of Thursday!

People are getting notified today. I wonder If they’re alerting people who didn’t land in the PDC today and letting people did land know on Monday..
