Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

60 day notice clarification

To clarify some of the statements and questions here. You are given 60 days notice of being laid off. During those 60 days nothing changes in terms of your employment ...you are still an associate, get paid, accumulate pto and all of that. After 60 days, the severance kicks in and you get 2 weeks pay for every year. The company can "release" you from your duties during the 60 day notice period which means you don't have to come to work. You are still an employee; they are just giving you time to look for another job. Take advantage if it. As I said before every minute you spend on here trashing Humana, is a minute someone else is using to look for a job and they may beat you to it. It's ok to be angry but be smart about it

Reposted from @P76bH7T-2wut. Valuble info that needs to be seen by those at risk of being impacted by Humana layoffs.

Yes you can opt to continue insurance or switch to a spouse's plan if applicable while on severance

So, with the actual severance pay of two weeks per years worked with Humana, is insurance included in that period of severance pay?
