The impending policy is anti-working mother. It hurts us. Thought up by men who don't need to consider flexibility and the consideration of kids off from school, teacher workdays.... So the other Friday when school was called off for weather in Charlotte and most moms had to scramble for childcare or work from home, under the new policy we would need to make decisions about the following Monday so that we would not get penalized. It creates stress and complexity for no reason other than to fill seats. It's a reality that working moms take the brunt of childcare and with school usually being out Fridays and Mondays for holidays (scheduled not even due to weather), this new policy makes us decide to get penalized by Bank of America or leave our kids home alone. Let alone no raises to care for raising childcare rates and now removing our ability to be flexible to care for family. Way to go Bank of America.

When my late wife was being treated for cancer and collapsed on the floor life services could care less. Upper management also. My boss is great but their is only so much he could do. Now I've gotten my doctor to give a wfh exemption which I plan to renew. Being at the office is a waste. I am more productive and happier at home. This place cares about nobody.

Everyone should feel safe to do what is needed to do when something urgent or unexpected comes up. As a manager I would never penalized someone for having to wfh temporarily to take care of family situations. The new rule is not about that! It’s about taking advantage of Wfh flexibility. Will you have to work from home everyday due to weather in Charlotte? Probably not. If it’s a disaster than yes. Please use common sense and if your manager doesn’t use their common sense and back you up for your temporary needs, have a conversation immediately.

Your manager has discretion to ignore your being on the "she missed 3x a week"
If your manager knows the circumstances and won't allow you this, report to HR.

@c0 without accmodations for br---t feeding you could ask for a temporary WFH status. I think they would approve it because they have to have a place for you to pump. But as part of the upcoming changes, you cannot leave at 2pm. They are supposed to be tracking hours in the office.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I work in a location that doesn’t have a private room for pumping. I’m already stressed about how I’m going to maintain my supply. I would also need to leave around 2 to can go home and br---t-feed my baby. I always come to the office at 8 AM. I really don’t want the added stress of being at work while trying to maintain my supply and nurture my baby. I’m really stressed about coming back to work in a few weeks. I’m hoping that these new requirements are not implemented. They’re really unnecessary. As long as we get our work done everything should be OK.
