Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

TEMU CEO buys part of WNBA franchise?

Must be nice. Very on brand. I doubt she’ll make any money from that, but maybe it will be a good tax write off.

@ww WELL SAID!

Unfortunately, the only way the participants wise up will be when their dividend goes back to the minimum guarantee and this current leadership is doing EVERYTHING in their power to no effect that. They’ll cut this place to the bone to save $$ just to keep paying more than the guarantee. The house of cards will eventually come tumbling down

She does seem to be overly focused on celebrity, social media, pop-culture and conspicuous use of money on "stuff" like clothes, sorority parties, recruiting junkets in Martha's Vineyard and now, sports franchises. Executives who are working hard to save a floundering company have the common sense to wait until after they have succeeded before they start flashing their own bag. She's a joke. A bad joke. Unless and until the participants rise up and reclaim their company from the rubber stamp board, the circus just goes on. Bottom line...the company has shown increasing net losses from operations under her "leadership". That's reality. That is what actually matters. Honey, nobody cares what dress you wear or what celebrities you know or how enlightened your politics are. The company you are in charge of is losing money, losing customers, losing employee commitment and fading fast.

THIS 👇🏾. And the fact that she’s a totally absent CEO. She shows up once in a blue moon on a call and other than that we get to see her word travels on Instagram. She is absent whenever there is bad news to break. She is absent on most company calls. We did see the video of her twerking though.

Hard to imagine that she gets her 3 badge swipes a week with the amount of PTO that she takes going to all of these high profile events in other countries.

Every dollar that the company spends on her jet setting and elbow rubbing comes directly out of someone’s retirement - yours or mine or the retirees that she purports to actually care about 🙄.

I think the point of the post isn’t how she spends her money but that her and the rest of the EC are tone deaf to the needs of the associates. When you’ve been stopped out of raises for three years, being told to do more with less, and are always fearful you’re on the bubble of the next round of layoffs it’s hard to stomach that the CEO has enough discretionary liquidity to buy into a sports franchise. If the decisions she was making at the company level has positive impacts to TIAA’s bottom line it’s one thing but to continuously see our lackluster financial results coupled with monitoring tactics to police employees, it’s a much harder pill to swallow.

It's her money...is anyone posting about how you spend your money? This is a silly post....she also buys toliet paper...are we going to debate why she spent her money on Charmin, 2 ply, instead of Kroger brand, 1 ply? Lol...I am still laughing...

It’s not like it’s the NBA. She’s a nobody with nothing.

They cant relate to the masses. The smugly state that their kids got into an ivy league school or how they are going on 2 week trip to southeast Asia while we eat Ramen noodles.

Hmm. Would have thought Dallas who has more titles and is closer to the Frisco home versus NY but gotta buy high when NY finally won a ‘ship.

Must be nice to be able to invest in a professional sports team when most worker bees can barely invest in their own futures.
