Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Tamala Oates-Forney’s new gig

So I guess she really was not taking time away for family as we were told? Her LI profile shows her new gig as CEO of a some HR company https://www.linkedin.com/in/tamla-oates-forney-3723238 I never worked with her and only saw her present in town halls but I am guessing she realized how things really were and GTFO while she could. Good for her on a CEO job, but you know it’s a giant problem when the head of HR only stays for barely a year, leaves on false pretenses, and then shows up somewhere else a couple of months later.

It’s simple…
Here’s the bottom line, there are two types of leaders.

Leaders that surround themselves with people that tell them what THEY NEED to Hear

Leaders that surround themselves with people that tell them what THEY WANT to Hear

Our fearless leader is in the 2nd camp!

How many holdovers from the prior regime?

She told him, as did JW and countless others that RTO was not feasible. It’s a recruiting crutch and you couple that with our Total Ripoff (Total Rewards) and we’re just limp…

She didn’t leave because she saw the writing on the wall. She left because she was hired to do the dirty work, be the scapegoat. However along with that, she was really a terrible leader who only cared about hers. I am surprised her CoS is still there given she was just as terrible but whatever. For those who think she left on her own accord are definitely misguided and it was only a matter of time.

12 CHROs in 15 years? It's like puppets or scapegoat hiring

Being "at THE organization that trains hundreds of thousands HR leaders" may be an accomplishment for an HR leader, but it's hardly something that any sane person should admire. The entire HR profession has become authoritarian and hostile to anyone who does not embrace cultural marxism. They were all willing accomplices to multiple unethical, illegal, and unconstitutional abuses that were implemented as COVID tyranny played out. And they have the nerve to claim moral authority to lecture us about values. It's a sad twisted joke.

One thing that I realized when she left was that it had nothing to do with all of the complaints. They spun that story to try to make employees "feel" bad. It has everything to do with the fact that USAA is a train wreck about to happen. They are violating all good trust with employees. I tell recruiters outright that I do not want any position with USAA. That company is poison!

There have been 12 CHROs in the last 15 years. At some point USAA has to realize the common denominator. Most of them come in as top tier talent, and go on to do amazing things at other organizations. USAA just wants puppets and anyone who actually is an expert will not stay long hence why they put someone with no experience in the job. Looks like she works at THE organization that trains hundreds of thousands HR leaders.
