Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

HR whistleblower

Our HR team has become a joke. Gone are the days when it was a trusted and fair function that protected the bank’s interests and employees. Today it’s become a dark hole where senior executives collude to pursue personal agendas. Those of who work in the field have always felt HR disrespected us. HR ki-ls positive enthusiasm and genuine teamwork.

HR is a joke and I hope Gunjan turns her attention to this team.

if your case gets assigned to LB just know nothing will be done and she’ll just turn it around on you. She opened the company up to a lawsuit I’m to beat down to pursue. But trust me when the day comes I will go to a lawyer

Agreed. The protecting of executives who violate all kinds of conduct are disgusting. I hope Gunjan does something.

The HR team is the most unethical organization in the company.

McKinsey consultants have a lousy arsenal. Layoffs, reorg, outsourcing is all they have to offer.

An HR exec did mention recently that GK may outsource business functions. Whether he meant outsourcing HR or other business lines remains to be determined. My prediction is that she will be be actively requesting RFP’s from vendors everywhere there can be a cost savings, regardless of quality of work.

GK will probably outsource HR and make the function even more corrupt and dysfunctional.

What exactly do Talent Consultants do other than pushing the RTO agenda and working spreadsheets for layoffs?

HR has never been much more than the enforcement arm of any large company. No one gets into HR because they care about people or the employee experience. They get into HR for a wee bit of power. And I’ve had two experiences in my career where an HR person was the worst offender breaking company policies. (Dating superiors, using company resources to their own benefit, breaking confidentiality of employees, etc.) as a group, generally the worst and bit to be trusted.
