Viasat sure has a bunch of jobs posted on LinkedIn. Seems kind of sh---y to have people waste their time pursuing them.

No. It's nothing more than calibrating who they can lay off and easily replace. Amazing how easy it is to be a sl--e ball.
Ghost jobs have always been a thing but this seemed to be really going on in full force ahead of the election to create a fraudulent appearance of growth, employment opportunities, and validate the (now obviously) juked labor stats in support of H1-B hiring and outsourcing everything we can get away with.
They're figuring out which positions are easiest to restaff.
