Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

When is the next layoff going to be?

Looking forward for the mass layoff with all these Vendor companies having H1s. Having cheap labor is It cut throat for US citizens and it is becoming difficult to get decent longevity in career.

The problem is simultaneously white women and H-1Bs. White women enable the H1-Bs. Who do you think fills the HR Department?

So this will be an unpopular opinion but here it goes.
We did a study in-house and H1B are NOT the problem. When we dig deeper into our participants bias, white women are the hidden reasons.
So many jobs were created that doesn’t directly impact the bottom line but are filled by women.
Those jobs will never be given to foreigners.

Good. No one wants them here anyways.

Unless an H1B gets an immediate job offer for another H1B opening somewhere else (like Microsoft, who are also laying folks off) they get a quick plane ride back home. I know plenty of H1B's who got fired and had like 2 weeks to pack house and skeedaddle.

Obviously. You can blame Mike Sievert and Deutsch Telekom for that.
