Judging by the goodbye emails I've received today there are quite a few people gone today.
Can't say I'd be able to guess how many overall, but I've seen half a dozen from different areas. Its bound to be more than half a dozen.
One manager I spoke to said that she'd been asked to "justify" her team, so guess its across the board.

I know of two mid managers in AMS who just got dumped. These are two folks that I know of personally. I don't know many people so interpolate from there.

@vzj+1tftnbOb can confirm. DXC will do everything in it's power to weasle out of paying severance and will run you into the ground until you quit on your own.
Must be in the 'less complex' regions. DXC would never fire anyone in the EMEA region, and pay hefty severance payments.
