Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Anyone on this forum use GoodRX vs the health plan

I know this isn't lay off post. But wanted to share. I used Good RX for a prescription that was denied by Anthem and only paid 5.00 . I also had a prescription ' rung up' by the pharmacy under both my Anthem policy and Good RX and it was cheaper to just use Good RX than the health plan. I'm just saying ..

Walgreens also has a prescription plan with a small annual fee. I've been using them ever since Elevance forced us to use mail order. Now I can get my prescriptions without delays due to mail orders or worries that Elevance won't cover my prescription.

It wasn't the ACA that ki-led our insurance at Anthem. It was when it went publicly traded, when the shareholders and the CEO became the ONLY important people.

I am sure once Anthem figures out all their business is going to GoodRx they will buy them and raise the prices at GoodRx.

I wonder how Amazon's health care and pharmacy is going to impact Anthem and other big insurance plans who think they run the healthcare industry

only thing that su-ks about using goodrx is that the money that you DO pay doesn’t apply to cost shares through the insurance.

There was once a time when we had excellent insurance, and it was free. Yes Free if you took the HMO option. Those days are long gone.

Insurance used to be pretty good. Then they used the implementation of ACA to scr_w over the employees and it just keeps going downhill96 from there....

$289 per month with anthem. $83 per month with good rx. Glaucoma drops. When I told cvs I could not afford it. They used their discount code and it was $90 per month. Ask what the price without insurance is.

@vyp+1u9xLsUU. How to get good RX. Install App play store. Free . You sign up get a card . The app allows you to punch in the meds and it gives you the options of different pharmacy and prices. I hardly use the prescription benefits through the plan.

Yup! I just started using GoodRx too. Meds weren’t covered by insurance, $220. $74 with goodrx. I’ll take it!
