If you’re currently involved in a dispute over unfair dismissal or the company’s illegal practices, it might be difficult to answer here.
I think what the company fears most is having multiple dismissed employees file lawsuits alleging illegal conduct, which would prevent the downsizing plan from going through.

Sounds like the layoff talks are already in play with the German works council for this coming summer layoffs for folks in Germany. The social plans are being finalized so be on the look out.
@OP I am suing SNPS. We meet at German court mid of June. I was illegally fired. Without social plan in Germany they are not allowed to fire. Following layoff, I was even placed in mental hospital. Was a huge shock for me and will need a lot of time to recover. Money cannot compensate damages they caused. My health and self confidence are destroyed
