I've heard on good authority that there are no changes to the hybrid schedule planned

@140 the 8 ball says “ Ask again later”
@wx Nobody wants your fortune cookie ramblings.
@vs The truth is rarely pure and never simple. We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge. The consensus is the truth. The noise is what distracts us from the truth.
@vp enh, it happens. Overall thelayoff does reasonably well in predictions. Individual ones can be hit&miss. Keep sharing anything you think is legit. It usually works out in the end.
Hang in there.
note to self.
I can't trust my "good authority"
@OP are you a faithful or a traitor?
@OP How's that "good authority" working out for you now, dummy?
Wrong
The "geo-shifting" of engineering roles (firing expensive senior devs in North America/Europe to hire junior staff in India/Philippines) is visibly impacting code quality.
Indian resources were informed of the policy by their directors in HYD
@ed Paul Duggan?
Our CEO ?? Lol
Not true. Just heard from our VP. There will be an email on 01/22 from the CEO. Office based employees to need to return 5 days by September. Anyone within 50km of an office that is remote will also need to return. NA for now.
This just highlights that communication is managed poorly internally and leaders are not stepping up and taking control. Everyone is watching as we head towards the iceberg and start to sink. The executives (captains) are more worried about getting thier own lifeboat than trying to save the ship. Don't expect a company wide email or any clarity soon, but do know the executive are discussing this and it will be implemented before the earnings call so it can be mention there as an efficiency gain and hopefully it will bump up the stock price.
@a7 Nah. Everyone should be coffee badging and looking for another job on OT's dime.
Rumour, rumour, unless someone can give something with credence, everyone should just get on with their life and job.
Our manager says the opposite .. not sure what to believe
