Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

CONTACT NEWS MEDIA!

The media needs to be contacted and the word needs to be spread about how claims are processed with the utmost shadiness, how claims are denied and about all the US workers laid off to have the company post positions OFF SHORE to India in Philippines with people who don’t even know how to annunciate words or write a sentence, probably using SPARK the AI tool to do the work.

I hate to tell you this but claims got offshored starting almost 10 years ago now. The Philippines employees have been doing a lot of the claims leg work since then aside from probably high dollar and more complex adjustments. I’m not shocked at all, honestly. Appeals are also now being worked by offshore too which is terrifying. They can’t do member appeals for legal reasons, but provider appeals for certain states are definitely getting sent to offshore. From the sound of some Carelon people it’s sounding like some of that is being offshored, some IT stuff, etc.

Sadly, this is our reality. It’s a huge corporation. If they can cut costs and pay someone way less to do the same job we do- they will.

And then with AI- that’s another thing that if they can just teach AI to do your job, it’s way cheaper for them. They aren’t going to care about if we have given them X amount of years, worked tons of OT, missed family events for our job, etc. They will do what they need/want to do to make more $.

The media, and many of you, danced on the graves of blue collar Americans losing their jobs. Remember “learn to code”?

Do you think they will care about your coddled a-s? Learn to weld

Already sent a message to one local news station, and going to send to the others tomorrow. Guess we’ll see if they decide to do anything with it.
