@ve a lot of people take extensive vacations in the summer. People have family events, vacations, weddings, outside projects, etc. not everything needs to be read into.

Not saying that there won't be layoffs but like 😂 it's summer.

@vd is correct. 10k employees laid off at one time requires a WARN notice. The 10k is likely the outlook for 2025, which is entirely believed. I bet they layoffs in Q3 and Q4 will be significant. We'll know by the 15th when the normal layoffs begin. Prepare accordingly.

@sw judging by the significant vacations my leadership chain took in July, they are preparing for increased work loads. Buckle up!!!

@sw this is rumored to be the cumulative amount through 2025. If they were laying off 10k people in a shot there would be WARN notices. USB does everything they can to fly under the radar.

I heard there are 10,000 layoffs in July coming. I don't know if it's true or whatever but I heard it. So I think it's happening.

This must be the d-mb new gen way of communicating. Everything in cap locks and dramatic.

Layoffs usually communicated around 15th of month.

@dj expect revenue generating positions to be impacted as well. I am having to communicate to my sales teams about layoffs that will impact them and their peers.

Funny you all are more concerned with the caps lock then the actual question😂just don't respond if you don't have the knowledge.

They won’t only target WFH employees. People in support roles or any kind of non revenue generating positions should be nervous.

I haven’t heard about layoffs for remote employees specifically but can personally attest to it being nearly impossible to move roles, even within the same department and/or pay grade, for remote employees.

I can confirm that layoffs are coming, but there’s currently no specific focus on targeting WFH employees. Most of the reductions will stem from offshoring roles and addressing the bloated dual-layer leadership structure that still exists across the bank.

Expect official communications about the layoffs between July 8 and July 24.

I haven't heard of anyone being targeted specifically because of WFH. I know of two layoffs last week in technology. One remote, one hybrid. I expect to see the usual quiet, below WARN act layoffs mid-month next month, same as always.

To answer OPs question- no there are not targeted WFH layoffs. They are happening across the board regardless of remote/hybrid

I don't think we can hear you even with CAPITALs. Maybe increase the font size.
