what’s maryann talkin bout?? we’re making massive profits off of the war, i’d assume the company would be flush with cash. any layoffs or reorgs coming?

@xt Poor small refinery employees sc--wed again.
I wouldn’t expect an announcement of that magnitude on an earnings call. But I do think mid June could be interesting. Pure speculation on my part

Something is coming on the refining side. Divest small refineries, LAR, renewables, layoffs. Who knows. I think the timing points to announcement next week on earnings call.
@vc as in, marathon is going to buy another gulf coast refinery after spinning off the smaller refineries? so mpc is going to have 3 mega gulf coasts refineries and less little ones across the US?
Layoffs, asset sales / closures, forced relocation or some combination seems likely to be the upcoming hard door.

Seeking to improve return on capital, increase longer term cash generation and reduce capital costs.
A lot of speculation running rampant that some refineries are getting spun off so a certain gulf coast refinery can be purchased. Spin offs may be the hard door but who knows. It was a strange way to end a “pep rally about our values” webcast….
Company is flush with cash! Maryann has never been thru a hard door in her life. Change is coming
