Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Very little talk of layoffs

Is that a good sign or a bad sign (a calm before the storm kind of thing)?

@v6 you have no idea how Hedge Funds work. They are not in the business of creating corporate efficiency. They are in the business of bleeding companies dry and unfairly profiting from the demise of a company. They specifically target companies with weak leadership and balance sheets. Read up on how Red Lobster and Sears were driven to bankruptcy by an Activist Investors.

What they’re preparing for the new spinoff. That’s why Elliot management has one of his persons on the board of directors. When they finalize everything. Then you’ll get what you’ve been wishing for.

Here’s how it’s gonna work out. They will increase shareholder value. By major reorganization of the company. Eliminating jobs that people get just because they know somebody. Cleaning house of people who have no degree or knowledge to run the company efficiently.

Within the first year of the spin off. I expect a merger, acquisitions, moving to new advance lines to replace old legacy lines. The fun were really begin. I can’t wait.

Corporate folks are already talking about the dates. It is only quiet because you are a grunt and have no need to know. Honeywell is predictable and always dumps people before the holidays or if they must wait then about three weeks before end of quarter.
