Yup, you read that right. A quick search shows this companies net worth and it’s definitely not in the thousands. But yet they have the audacity to attempt to lay off a HUGE amount of employees. But they do this every year, are we surprised. Are we surprised that a company so rich wants to lay off over 50k employees? ANTHEM DO BETTER. YOUR A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY TAKING AWAY MANY PEOPLES PAY AND ABILITY TO FEED THEMSELVES OR PROVIDE A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD. But I mean look up the CEO Ms. Gail K. Boudreaux , are we surprised yet another white lady wants to just be richer? Fu-k Gail K. Boudreaux and all the other little managers in this company who don’t have the ba--s to stand up for their employees!! FU-K THIS LAY OFF & FU-K ANTHEM

You can afford the lawyer. They get their payment when you get your settlement from the company!!! If they feel they can’t win the case they won’t even take it. Inquiry with some local employment lawyers asap!!!! @2kmw+1tTxMMVJ

I was told yesterday I was let go in a group call. My manager saw me go through a painful marriage separation, to becoming a single mom and I was homeless this time last year, had to live in a danky hotel for a few with my young daughter. She didn't care at all. I was a dedicated employee! Get this though! I worked from home and when in the hotel I brought all my work equipment with and called my companies IT department to have them okay it that I was secure in data to work from hotel, got the green light. Told my boss I was homeless with a cold reply she said she wasn't sure I was allowed to work out the hotel and that she'd have to talk to HR and and get back to me which she didn't. So I had to end up going back to my husband's house which I've been separated from and not a good situation at all and when I set up work there and told her, she said she was going to write me up because I did not update my new address in the companies system yet. I couldn't believe my ears when I explained to her why I didn't yet then she said oh okay and didn't write me up. Prior to all of this I was bullied on a daily basis when I was going through my marital separation by two managers there. She probably knows I can't afford an attorney to make a complaint for harassment or discrimination. Funny thing is they let me have my job until September and in the meantime I have to take training on harassment in a company and ethics how anthem stands by it LOL now I don't know how I'm going to afford to keep living I barely could now with inflation I go to food pantries for free food which my boss knows this. Doesn't care.
Not sure what your frustration is ! I made a lot in stocks and bonuses here & grateful to this Org, hoping to ride on that RIF truck tomorrow, oh ho ho … (wait will I be on that ????)

I agree with your sentiment but not how you expressed it. FYI-middle Managers, Directors, Staff VPs have little to no say in these decisions and their feedback falls on death ears.
Won’t be the first billion dollar company to do it. And dam* sure won’t be the last. Ughhhhh

I understand we are all under stress. But we really need to know. We really need an answer of atleast where. @ elevance family
Everyone is frustrated and very anxious. Layoffs are never easy and always hard to maneuver around. One day at a time.
Hang in there and we all need to be supportive of each other and try to be patient and kind.
We all handle stress differently-
It will be ugly for awhile-but light at end of tunnel eventually
