Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wells Fargo RTO Policy

Hi All - I am not with Wells Fargo but I am trying to build a list of different approaches to RTO. I am focusing on large companies that have presence here on layoffs.com (I am assuming I can get employees to speak up here). Anyhow, if you feel comfortable sharing a blurb on what the current policy is please reply to this thread. I'll tag it on all boards where I ask the question with #RTOpolicy

Thanks in advance!

It’s not even a policy, just another useless mandate that wells learned from the federal government…obviously doesn’t work.

there will be lawsuits as it's not applied equitably across all LOBs. So HR have fun with that!

It’s different for different LOBs. In IT it’s 3 days unless you are Agile, then it’s 1. But try getting anyone to actually articulate the policy. No manager wants to actually give a number. Very sad.

@usf+1mLWLnJL Ha, you should go to dictionary.com to learn the definition of attrition.

Now if it would be planned in one fail swoop…….it wouldn’t be. No one would do that because it would be an instant class action winnable lawsuit for laying off a protected class.

For those who are remote due to medical conditions - I see someone posted they will be forced out via attrition. Any idea how long until they plan on removing those folks?

This is true:

The policy is different for different lines of business and what team you are on.

Most people have returned to the office - but, it's a modified schedule, they only spend three days in the office (vs 5 pre-covid). i liked being completely home based but i returend too.

It's a blanket policy where the number of days in office might vary by LOB but basically there are three exceptions:

  1. You live more than 40 miles from a location and are FOR NOW grandfathered in as remote. Just a matter of time before Chuck's minions ki-l this one...
  1. You have a medical accommodation. These will be reduced with attrition and making working on site a requirement for the newbie.
  1. You're one of the "cool kids", aka people with specialized skills or that work in a field where in office demands are essentially anti-competitive. This one will probably stay in place for the foreseeable future. You can demand all you want, if people refuse to work under those conditions you won't get any employees or you'll have to ludicrously overpay for them.

overall guidance is 3 days per week in office, failure to do so could lead to disciplinary action up to and including termination

Here is the policy:
You might be remote worker, or you come in 1 day a week, or you come in 3 days a week, or you come in 4 days a week, or you come in 5 days a week, or you ignore policy and do what you want.

Hope this helps your “research”.

Why does this feel like a HBD Holly, phishing post?

This info is searchable by OP for the excessive discussions on this topic.
