Did Chris Hallbard Lie On The Town Hall Call

About pay and having given pay rises etc this year, or did I mishear it? I could have sworn pay rises were and still are blocked and nobody I know has had a bonus in years.

Vote up or down. Am I loosing the plot or is it Chris who’s resorting to telling lies.

I cannot name names and you know this. Site wont allow it, I would not expose folks to that level. I can tell you with 100% certainty I have people that work for me, rated top performer that got bonuses. They are in all regions, including the UK.

Doubt if you want, but it flat out did happen. Some of them left anyway. Some stayed. Those left did secure raises.

Maybe we all need to ask harder questions of our managers this year on where the bonuses and raises went.

The UK has quite possibly the worst leadership of any region, they also have the worst Labour pyramid in DXC.

Our leaders often lie and cheat us. The poor labour laws are exploited by DXC to take from us to give elsewhere.

It’s impossible to believe 10+ years of sequential cuts decimating entire workforces and closing down all the sites, hiring cheap apprentices and grads would still result in an unprofitable UK DXC.

There are no staff left who can do the job properly without going above and beyond.

On the sites around my location you don’t even get free hot drinks. Even water cups were a luxury. The toilets were out of order for months. The car park had craters for pot holes.

Tired of this UK rant. The world does not revolve around UK. When will you guys realize that? Wake up and smell the coffee. Understand that you have lost the competitive edge on IT service industry, which is over the years has been simplified and no longer top notch.

Who? I'm not calling you a liar, but I'm highly dubious of this given there were some exemplary people in service / account management & ITO (hosting / networks) who got naff all despite being worked to the bone and getting "stunning appraisal"

I will invoke the example of an ex-DXCer who was on less than £20k per year, was frequently told he was going to get a 50% pay rise when he took an internal job interview / promotion including a LEVEL BUMP from 3 to 4 and still got strung along until he left. His last week he was promised 20k+ rise over a series of "incremental" pay rises that no doubt would've evaporated as after he left I was able to tell him the Chris H mail went out telling us we had no pay rises coming

I don't get it.
The company is quite straight forward since years. No or low pay rises, same with bonuses.
Some in this forum still take this as newsworthy. Why?
Everyone who is unhappy, leave. There are tons of opportunites just over the street.

Been here a few years. Still can’t work out how a company can’t organise a standard pay and reward system. Literally every single other organisation I’ve worked for has managed to give me a pay rise. Good starting wage though….

Merit increases are and should be additional over and above inflation pay rises.

Promising a raise in 2022 then not delivering is possible the worst single management I’ve ever seen anywhere frankly. I don’t understand how it’s just being ignored, never mind the lack of trust and integrity people think the senior management in DXC have.

The head of DXC UK states in a TownHall that pay rises have been given?

Well, clearly it's obvious. Sal, Mary, Chris, and their fellow execs have increased their own salaries again. Therefore, there have been raises. Just not for the folks actually doing the work.

As discussed in the EMEA Town hall thread, many of us thought he lied. He wasn't talking about the DXC I or any of my colleagues work for.
