Heard from an insider that all managers have been given their RIF list. It's happening this Thu and Fri.

Being remote isn’t an automatic save. We could all be remote and they could unload some real estate and save money. We’re all at risk and at the whim of any employer to stay or go. This is exhausting and stressful and if we make it through this go round then we’ll probably continue to check this site for information on the next one. What a mess this company is!

What I am reading in this forum about remote worker is not true. Please keep in mind. Some of the remote workers position have been grandfathered and they are officially in hybrid zero. They are not in any kind of risk. Only if you are hybrid one and above and have not been to the office, then you are at risk.

@ttv+1tRRo9Tm - in response to your statement about remote associates being targeted. 1) that would be a large portion of the associates. My entire team is remote. 2) being remote doesn’t cost them a penny. If we were in the office they would have to pay for that space. I don’t know that your statement would be true. Who knows! Elevance employee for almost 8 years made it through October and February cuts but my team was reduced almost 50% (manager level). Then heard mid June how bad things were in all divisions. Was terminated in July, so they didn't have to pay a severance package. The environment is so toxic, living in fear almost daily hoping to survive but knowing of you do you will now be responsible for doing the work of at least two people. Still looking for a job as the market is tough right now, but my mental health is 100% better.

Oh wow ! Both days? Great! Week from he-l - just tell us yes you have a job or not - n let us be on our way. I’ve heard lots of managers on pto and that calls might be done in groups.

Im ready for this week to be over. I almost want to be on a list just to not worry about layoffs anymore. I love my team and my job but this uncertainty is awful. If I avoid layoff then great. That would be one less thing to worry about for awhile until the next one. I have a feeling exempt/fully remote coworkers out of range of a valid building are probably targeted.
