Appraisal feedback?

Anyone learned their appraisal ratings?

Not that it matters much, I’m just curious if the imbecilic DXC leadership have managed to do something right in terms of timings to deliver grades.

You all have been rated significantly exceeds expectations aka you are walking on water!

But please - no raises.

Well - I received a 3 - inconsistent- but then again my manager is an imposter - so full of it - all we hear about is past companies and no substance. DXC is in decline, so many people leaving !

The senior execs got their appraisal feedback, 3 year extension for the CEO and CFO on special bonuses, special equity awards all around, so I don't think they applied the 20% rule for themselves, all seem to have got a "1" despite failing on every single measure of progress for the business in the past 12 months - revenue still declining, and forecast same for next 12 months, share price 19% lower than a year ago ...

The 20% rule is definitely real, I wouldn't have posted it otherwise. Plus it's published policy available on the DXC intranet for all to see, so can't be argued against.

The 20% rule is real.

Look in Workday to see how many people are in your team, and then work out how many people make up 20% of your manager's team (if it's not a whole number then round it down. Because that's what they do). Then ask yourself if you think you deserve to be one of the people in that top 20%. We can all probably guess who else in our team deserves to be in the top 20%.

Not very fair though, when you have mixed teams working in different roles on different accounts, but that's how it is. There is no conspiracy. Your Manager likely hates the rule as much as you do. It's the people above him (that don't have to front up to the real people being impacted) who come up with this plan

@ts+1jsn1tbww Everyone gets the same. That's the point. If your team gets 5% you get 5% whether you were the first in and last out every day. Or if you were hardly there and achieved very little. The company doesn't know how to measure your contribution. And certainly doesn't reward it. Its s fight not worth trying for. You do won't win by doing more in DXC.

How many in your team? Remember the breakdown of ratings is strictly enforced e.g. team of 4 can't have anyone with rating of 1 as that would exceed the 20% distribution "guideline"
1 ~ 20%, 2 ~70%, 3 ~10%

I’m with storage capabilities and yes, we all received 5% pay increases in the US. I thought everyone did.

My CTM said she was only allowed to give one person a 1 and it wasn't me! In 12 years I've always got the middle (average) grade.

@fc+1jsn1tbww The people on the least in teams were the ones trying the hardest to get more money. Last year proved it was a futile exercise, when everyone got the same percentage anyway. I don't know anyone who's trying this year other than to do less and and get out.

The company can make more profit by a mandatory salary cut. How about everyone gets pegged back to the lowest salary on the team. We won't go on strike like anywhere else. It would generate millions more profit. Everyone is unhappy anyway. So it won't make any difference to performance.

Well if you get "3" it is mandatory PIP.

Not yet. The Executive leadership is still tweaking the ratings to ensure there’s not too many in a category.

It starts next week, should have been this week but they were stuck with senior leadership. It's all on DXC websites if you look.

Also other posters are mistaken, 1s are entirely possible, just do your job well

I'm sure it will come on time vs whatever timeline they agreed.

Which I am sure won't be until after May 14th when they announce the full year's results, then they will know how many pennies they have to hand out to any 1's and can agree how many 1's will be allowed to happen.

Don't forget to listen in on the investors call when you can hear how they've generated $650m in free cash, how everything is going great.... largely because you and I aren't getting any money.

And any profit this place does make is entirely out of employees pockets, nothing else keeps it in the black.

Who's stupid idea was a 3 point scale. Fail, OK, Too good to be here!
Nobody gets a 1 - it means your boss is underpaying you, and they won't admit that.
Nobody gets a 3 - it means your boss has failed to manage you properly, and they won't admit that either.
Everyone gets a 2 - the process is utterly meaningless.

if you have not heard then you got the default - a "2"
and the pay rise is of course - 0 (would have been same if you got a "1")
if your email access no longer works then Musk-style you have been WFR'd and you got a "3"
