Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

BTE

Curve was set to BTE this year as a power play …. make employees feel appreciated with a higher rating but then blame earning for lack of an increase.

Raises have never been high with allstate. I have been better than expected metric wise the last four years and each year the raise is between 2 and 3 percent. It better than nothing but to make more money at allstate you have to get promoted or switch departments in a higher band

@thh…reviews received by under achieving employees who twist their own bloated opinion of self worth.

HO shills are working hard to discredit real experiences from employees. Common thread is that cr---y “leaders” who promote and rate rarely is done on tangible performance results. This long standing practice is one of the reasons this company is imploding.

Hey inconsistent…you likely got what you deserved. If you had any understanding of the process, you would know that likely 8-12 people made that decision. Not just your boss. You would probably be the only one in that room that you would rate higher than what you got. Performance to metrics and leadership index.

In a year when ratings are set on curve, you are lucky to not have been unacceptable. You seem to be part of the problem and not the solution

Reviews conducted by unqualified managers who twist your results based on ar-e kissing and compliance are worthless regarding true employee development. Subjective measurements leave tons of room for abuse by inept “leaders”.

This isn’t true. Calibration was no different than prior years.

Yeah, not so much. I got inconsistent because my boss is a horrible human being.

There’s so many “power plays” going on you would be shocked if you knew them all. Just remember this: all the worlds a stage and you are only players. Allstate will play it very well to THEIR advantage, certainly not to the front line employees. Don’t elude yourself. As much as you want to work for a decent company called Allstate you are just a means to the higher ups wealthy end. It’s one power play after the next. They are masters of manipulation. Watch your back.
