@vs

If you have active impactful projects, you’ll probably be ok.

Yes, there are huge layoffs planned. Approximately 15% headcount cuts, beginning in January.

Think about it, that’s around 10,000 people losing their jobs, or nearly 1 out of every 6 people! This company is finished.

@jq This is really going to affect the yacht industry isn't it? My 5th vacation home was completed last month so I am good.

@kv Does this apply to Finance? Or Tech only?

@jm across the board

so the consensus seems to be the following

  1. lay offs already started before the new year starts (contractors from my knowledge)
  2. 1/29 next round?
  3. 2/26 following round?

@e7 Leadership doesn’t care about American jobs. They have to answer to the stockholders. And the stockholders are angry they may have to cancel their 5th vacation home and yacht orders for 2026. I feel their pain.

@jf wonder if it’s across the board cut, or just a few business?

They would rather offshore than keep Americans employed. They are making a big mistake in several areas and need to learn a lesson that cheaper isn't always better!

Our ELT just said there will be RIFs. So the question is when not if.

We will need to analyze the impacts of the VRP, understand how many will be back filled and then each SR. Leader will put together the strategy for their organization to meet their number.

We have a team meeting Friday, Yes 2026 cuts will be becoming, Literally couldn't provide any details to us so not really sure why the even told us. The one detail the oddly had was that they were not allowing people to do voluntary retirement this time; hopefully this is incorrect. Also for those reaming don't expect bonuses or a meaningful raise.

@OP Oh, I'm pretty confident there will be when your leadership for the sales/underwriting org tells you that their budget is going from 14 million down to 5 you can pretty much guarantee layoffs.... Merry Christmas and thanks to leadership for calling a meeting right before Christmas when so many people are off to enjoy time with their families for the holidays with absolutely no answers to any questions..... you think they could have waited until January after they got their cr-p together with some more details on what it actually means to the large number people in the department
