Wonder what BS they'll try to feed us today...

@1gjb+1cXGQPOr Exactly !!! There's this little thing called the "Constitution" and "Nuremberg Law". There are going to be a huge number of lawsuits. BTW, these are NOT vaccines. They are experimental gene therapy and extremely toxic and deadly. Educate yourself before getting something injected into your bloodstream. Vaccines of the last 30 yrs have a horrible history. Why do you think children in the past several decades have so many health issues like food allergies and autism??? If you knew what you got injected into your child you would be mortified. Do your research. The information is out there for those willing to look for it. Current health organizations, msm, google, social media are NOT where you should be getting your info. They hire scientists to put out all the false information to mislead the public. Dig further.
I find it interesting that we were prompted by Allstate to contact our Congressman\woman to urge them to vote for the 3.5 Trillion dollar tax hike. Allstate is very expensive. Who buys Allstate Insurance? People who work. When the middle class is taxed to the point they can no longer afford basic necessities, who will buy Allstate insurance?
@2kob+1cXGQPOr your facts do not align with their truth
Do you make it a habit of choosing ignorance?
There is nothing illegal about a vaccine mandate. Courts have ruled on this multiple times over multiple decades.
@1gjb+1cXGQPOr here we go again
MANDATE is not law...it's illegal!
TW speaks like a 33 degree f ree mas on
At least TW admits that TG has yet to result in growth. Maybe he's happy we haven't continued to shrink P&C policies, though we're simply buying market share with excess earnings. This dude needs to get out of the way. Chairman, President, and CEO? He doesn't trust his succession plan much does he? Can't wait till next week when they trot Julie Parsons onto the stage again. What was GS thinking? Too much IDE focus instead of sustainable business results.
Of course we're able to hire people as they are trusting of our generally favorable external corporate image. Once they work here a bit, particularly in claims, they understand the value proposition fairly quickly and take their talents elsewhere. We do the training, and other companies buy the experience, even if it's a bit limited. With the cash balance pension and no retiree medical, the lack of loyalty to the employee is now in reverse. There is no company loyalty, and it's even worse in a virtual, non-connected work environment. May not be better elsewhere but many will try it before putting up with this place right now.
TW/GS have directly been involved with layoffs And its closer to 4500 people they have laid off
@tbg+1cXGQPOr so that's what Tom meant by "hiring the talent they want to"
I am so over this company. I am only staying for three reasons 1) I have a great supervisor 2) pay check and 3) I was finally switched from hybrid to remote. If you have to file an appeal through work place requests due to a disability they will give you the run around and make you jump through hoops and never get back to you. After 3 months of sending in the required paperwork (which was stupid, I shouldn't have needed to fill out when other people in my role get to work remotely if they want to) and no response despite following up, I broke down and finally told my immediate supervisor what was going on. He reached out to someone in HR about it and they asked me if I had proof I had sent over the paperwork and had followed up and I forwarded him all the emails (apparently that department was denying I had sent anything) Well what do you know the assigned person to handle the case got back to me and it turns out all she had to do once the document was received was send a former to my leader which he did as soon as he got it (took him ten minutes).
So I was surprised to hear the remote worker distinction. He is right the final order has not been published yet-maybe he has inside knowledge? Because Biden originally said companies that employ 100mor more without any distinctions? Clear as mud other than those in offices will have to be vaccinated-home based not exactly clear.
"Only good thing out of that meeting was that the vaccine will only be mandated to office & customer facing roles!" Can anyone confirm this I thought he said he doesn't know yet because the laws are being written still? If it won't affect remote workers that is good news.
Tom Wilson is paid more that 5 times. It’s than any other CEO in the insurance industry…
So for the vaccine mandate, if unvaccinated and go back to the office will you be tested or can you not be in the office at all unless vaccinated?
We need transformative growth in CEO’s salary. We need to go back to days when these rip offs were paid reasonably. 16 million …..that is an outrage. And he talks about paying a whopping 18 per hour. Something must change.
Train wreck. As usual. They shouldn’t let Tom speak on these things.
If you want us old fogies to leave, PLEASE give me a package! Why did only Band E got them? I know several that would love it, but not going to give up 7 weeks of PTO to leave. I'm not suffering in my area as bad as some in other areas it sounds like. Wish I could make what people coming in the door doing my job gets though.
I was ready to pull my hair out during the meeting. How can the CEO say turnover is not an issue at Allstate, as a front line adjuster I can tell you adjusters are leaving daily to other companies for better work life balance, salary and not having to deal with the ridiculous third party rental policy. I had to log off the meeting because of the massive inquiry calls I was receiving
Oh Tom, you ignorant fool! The employee numbers don’t lie, people are leaving FASTER than you can bring them in. The turnover is 50% HIGHER across the organization than last year this time. This from someone who reports the numbers to these delusional higher ups.
@vpi+1cXGQPOr yeah... They won't even take responsibility for the turnover at the company, let alone accept liability for a policy they implement
Only good thing out of that meeting was that the vaccine will only be mandated to office & customer facing roles! I did like the question in the chat regarding if Allstate mandates the vaccine will they be liable for any medical issues…… To bad it was not addressed.
"we're about to hire the people we want"
that's news to me
As a manager trying to hire people, we've made dozens of offers but either the process took to long so the candidates took a different offer they got quicker or the salary offer was below market and the candidate laughed in our face about how insultingly low it was and how long it took us to make that offer.
Thanks allstate... All that talk about the office... Now they have ruined that show for me forever.
The most telling thing to me was that when answering the first question about turnover, talent retention and talent recruiting, he had to clarify that it was about employees and was surprised we were not asking about customer retention... That tells me all I need to know, they don't give a f about employee retention.
They are so out of touch its not funny. I'm not even sure we are talking about the same company here. My unit has been understaffed for 2 years because as soon as someone is hired, another person quits, but he can't acknowledge that we have turnover issues? And what about SIU, total loss, and countless other departments that are chronically understaffed?
“We’re hiring more people at a higher salary than those that have been here years.” Thank you for that reassurance!
@uul+1cXGQPOr if they're was ever a thing he said that meant "if you don't like it, gtfo" it was that.
Plenty of other employers out there, if Allstate SLT won't admit their policies and pay structure is the reason for turnover, it isn't going to get better.
Yeah Tom.. just make up excuses not to answer why new hire are getting paid close to people who's been here for years.
@xba+1cXGQPOr but they raised their minimum wages
Stunning. No admission that their policies are driving people to jump ship. Nope, nothing to see here. It's all external factors.
Anyone else feel like this meeting is definitely pre-recorded. Just a thought since the poles are conveniently not working for everyone. Seems like they are just providing the answers they want broadcasted. No new or useful information as usual.
Fluff and more fluff. Shocking they are so desperate now to “be nice” since all the good employees have left ! Desperate to get that old feeling back ? Hahahah. Sadly, all your data isn’t making anyone fell all warm and fu.6 about Allstate.
What's up with all this ritual talk taking up the entire meeting. Who cares!?
So how much money did they spend on this communication platform? Did they intend to build a slack clone?
A lot of talk and no answers or important info
