@195 so, he's on his own "Performance-Improvement-Plan". At least there's an equivalent for that lot.

@18h It gives him something to do while he looks for another job. This way he saves face by leaving "for other opportunities". It's how that club does things.

In any state of the union, and on any date in the calendar, if L3H wants you gone, one way or another you’re gone and they want a lot of us gone

@sy Believe it or not, at least in New jersey, your employer can legally fire you for not coming to work even during a state of emergency or a travel ban. New Jersey is an at-will state, and L3 Harris can fire anyone at any time without warning or without reason. Conversely, you are free to walk out without notice anytime you wish and you must get paid for every hour you have worked. Considering who you work for, and what they have done, the ball is in your court. If you stay, and something bad happens, it's on you.

@sy, standard illegal behavior that L3H does every day, you should not be surprised. I’m surprised that people haven’t gone to prison for some of the things I’ve seen.

As of today, Monday February 23rd 2026, we have a major blizzard in New jersey. The governor declared a state of emergency, and a total travel ban on all non-emergency vehicles until noon today. Non-emergency vehicles and personnel caught driving before then are subject to summons, fine and possible imprisonment if they resist. However, I called my supervisor to tell him I wasn't coming in, but he told me the facility remains open and you are expected to be here . He told me to tell the governor to get me a new job. This is the kind of company we work for. I'm going to stay home the rest of the week now. Fu-k this job.

@gs, you are correct, nobody’s gonna wanna come back to the company after they’ve been laid off or they see how others have been treated and if the need for people turn around with a war with China people will go anywhere else but L3Harris.

@eq imagine being laid off from Clifton in April 2024, rehired in 2025 and being laid off again in 2026. That's the reality that is Clifton. The sad part is that no prospective employer is going to trust you with a record like that.

@cw And once you get rid of those folks, others won’t be far behind. This doesn’t seem like the one from a few years ago that was just for numbers and people were rehired. This seems to be a permanent ramp down of programs in Clifton, and if other departments aren’t affected now, it’s just because their programs still need people to work the paperwork side of shutting things down
