10 min meeting scheduled out of the blue today….sounds like more layoffs hit this morning.

They always say that right before the axe. First the reorg then the cuts.
I would love to not report into Mani anymore. I don’t get why we hired him. He came from Wells and Citi. Wells is a hot mess with a second big problem. Citi has a consent order. How does someone hire him? He doesn’t have a track record.
Agree should have been an email, but keywords was ‘sustainability’ and ‘bau’ which means that no layoffs?????
Maybe, maybe not.
But also he said that we all are bank employees, under erc, so if layed off, we get a one year salary, no????

My guess, it’s a re-org which is the 1st step in layoffs later in the year or early next year.
AML Director is now directly reporting to Neeraj instead of Mani. Seems like an org restructure change, the big shoe hasn’t dropped quite yet
The last 10 minute meeting that was shotg-nned on the same day is when they announced KYC/QA layoffs and the re-org of some to fraud in a short and scripted announcement.
What time?
I have no insight into what it could be, but in my experience a short meeting like this is used to announce a departure of someone in upper management. Sometimes it's a new executive, but generally it's something like "So and So has decided to spend more time with family" aka they've been politely fired. 10 mins leaves no time for Q&A
I hope it's not a layoff/reorg announcement.

Some parts of what used to be AML, KYC, moved over to bank. Probably why we haven’t heard anything on that side. Either way though, praying all works out for the best and the hit isn’t too hard 🙏🏼
