Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Fire the wirthless

The reason Board can’t says more about leadership pipeline than MW.

What a POS this company has become. Latest move to copy Exxon’s strategy without its culture is going to end up being something that will lose multiple Billions.

Agree. All top layers, along with middle management is bad and complicit. This is no longer a great company but a sinking ship.
Leave folks when you have a chance. Not worth it.

@sqn+1uBQe3lS. Last I checked, it wasn't the underlings setting the strategy, or promoting mediocre folks up the food chain. Your criticism is based on a false premise, and even better - you won't see it coming when your job is moved to a low cost center, because your head is apparently buried in the ground.

Same troll, same post, same topic. ................Yawn............. This is getting about as bad as the incessant RM troll posts by the underlings who rather post all day about others than bettering themselves so that they can move on to the supposed job of their dreams that doesn't exist.

Yup. But this was MW's plan. Load up on people "not ready". The board needs to call his bluff and go external.

Massive move like this does cost. The tax savings, state compensation, etc. will offset some. The greatest win will be all the people who decide they won’t move. They will be replaced with contractors, that affects bottom line for years to come. The glory days are over. Venezuela is a stone around companies neck.

Yes is will lose Billions. But worse I fear it is the start of the ending for an iconic American company. Interesting Wirth waited until Ken Derr to pass before moving to HQ to Houston and making a move that will destroy what's left of what was not long ago a culture of excellence.
