SLB was a great place to work. I hope they don’t offshore too much as outsourcing design to those who don’t actually see the tools in use is a huge mistake and competition will reap the benefits
@7b8 many companies targeting HR for most significant replacement with AI because lot of the "work" is clicking buttons in Workday/HR System/etc
Wouldn't suggest anyone go into that as a career path from now on
Aww....so sad.
@sq there's good and bad people in HR. With your attitude i would not rate as a good employee. HR has a job to do and it not always pleasant, I was laid off but it was done professionally.
If it’s one thing AI can easily replace is HR/Benefits. Gone.
@dh The entire Sugarland campus will go.
Same sh*t
Don’t feel sad for this. Remember HR are there to protect SLB…not you.
You will never win against anything HR related.
Worried about HR? The worst/most evil people in SLB.
@f4 You are under the assumption SLB is a US company, it has proven many times over that its not.
@OP They need focus on removing those HR and benefits positions on international contracts that can be done in country (or at home) at a fraction of the overhead cost instead. Focus has been to heavily focused on retiring or removing skilled labour that get us called back to the operator
SLB is planning to replace many US positions in its tech centers across America with India positions , effectively outsourcing cheap labor. The plan was laid down in Jan as part of the North Star project and “downsizing “ efforts, some brilliant mind in HR thinks it is an excellent idea…this plan is already in motion. This can’t be right and is as anti-American as it can get. This endangers US workers and US competitiveness. Imagine the current administration learning this…
What about Sugarland TX. Anything?
We hope so!
