$20bn loss in 6 months..... The results for this current quarter will be just as terrible as very little is happening in the field and even less in manufacturing and oil has hit sub $18. Wake up and smell the coffee. The good thing about this lumbering disaster is that the purveyors of nonsense (blue mindset, endless, pointless 'team' exercises, 5S) have finally crawled back to their gilded desks.
I look forward to the usual cheerleaders' kiss-a– posts s—ing up to OLP on the home page.

It actually was a great company to work for at one time. Over the past 10 years it has, like many big corporations, become greedy and corrupt. When companies make profit their #1 goal it eventually k–ls morale and creates resentment. My opinion.
Another Enron in making. Don’t wait jump ship as soon as possible.
@spu+14xO7Gx8 I came from another company that does oil services in Houston but many other things abroad (leaving the name redacted), and I am glad that I'm not alone in feeling that this company is just as horrid in the same ways as the previous company I worked for. I am grateful that I had a good manager and was able to get experience, but this c-ap that the oil industry keeps pulling is the reason why young people stay away. I'm just going to ride this furlough out and leave once folks in better industries start hiring again.
I left SLB 1.5 years ago and got my life back. What a sickening culture of s—ups, H1-B's, gender balancing, entrepeneur k–ling, egotistic wireline centric management, robotic, etc. , know-nothings. Customers hate SLB for it's arrogance and no one would leave another major service company to work for them. If you are a SLB lifer, straight out of school, that's all you know and you think the culture is the norm. Thank heaven I knew better. If you get laid off, it is an opportunity to better your life.
This decline in the oil industry has been happening for 3+ years and although the virus has not helped, in no way is it the cause. Any mo–n who thinks the end of the virus will start a revival is totally deluded.
