So let me get this straight. Paul Weiss, the law firm, is currently defending Citi and Sieg in court against a suit borught forth by an ex-Citi MD, with the plaintiff's case being about a hostile work environment encouraged by Sieg. The very same Paul Weiss is also brought in to conduct an 'internal investigation' against the very same Sieg to investigate the very same complaint of hostile work environment because a few MD's complained. And Weiss and his law firm would suddenly find Sieg guilty of what they were defending against in court? Unreal. This kind of conflict of interest is almost a joke...except it's happening in real life.
Why did Citi even pay Weiss a second time? Might as well appoint Jane to conduct an investigation against the person she brought back to Citi? The conclusion would be the same as Weiss anyway. That this move passed Sara W and B McIntosh's scrutiny is even more laughable

And what are the regulators doing in the face of all this?

The company that doesn’t really give a sh-t. Six MDs lied then, did they? I’m frequently seeing the description of Sieg and others as ‘hard charging’. Please.
