Ambetter town hall today with Kevin and he said that him and Sarah are clear on no layoffs. Not sure I would trust

@ah Exactly what I’ve seen happen since working here and you are 100% correct as our team has been overly encouraged lately to apply for internal positions. We also have been overly praised lately which also sadly worries me. I’m just waiting for a meeting to pop up. Ughhh
@ag, you would think, but even a few years ago when we had the 3000 ppl layoff there were still open positions throughout the company.
When laid off sometimes your boss will help transition you to another position in the department or in a department that you work very closely with, but typically you are just told that you are welcome to apply for open internal positions.
There are still new positions being posted every day across the company. Why post positions across the board (IT, etc) if they are going to do layoffs. They would just stop hiring for new positions first right?
@a6 I work in IT for corporate services, far removed from Ambetter. We are a smaller department of about 11 people, and having 4 great people cut is going to be a big blow to our function. There are 5 more departments in my group, but have heard nothing about if they're also going to layoff some of their people, but my guess is they're going to.
@a3 holy smokes man, that is rough. Is your department in the Call center or in claims operations only asked because I’ve been hearing whispers of that in different department all around
It looks like there’s gonna be some layoffs. I have a friend that works for NTT DATA, and she told me that they are upping recruitment for claims analysts specifically, and she told me specifically her recruiter said it would be for Centene. She has no idea how many people they recruiting, just at some of them were temporary, and some were potentially permanent positions.

@OP I was just informed, unexpectedly, that four members of my team will be laid off next week as part of company-wide reductions. While my line of business isn’t directly tied to Ambetter, it’s clear that the broader organizational cuts are now beginning to impact multiple areas.
