Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Employee Appreciation Day

The last couple of years we’ve had a day off in recognition of Employee Appreciation (3/6).
I take it this isn’t happening in 2026?

@rw ROFL - if you think European operators aren’t going to ride the ‘murrican no workers rights horse until it keels over in harness you are not in tune with the work environment - inconvenience for parents - as if.

Fossil actually got more hours out of me when we worked remotely. I often worked before 8 and after 5 and didn’t take a lunch. In office I find myself taking a whole hour and wasting a lot of time in unnecessary meetings

Not sure about others, but I’ve had to work 8–5 or later on Fridays due to workload. There isn’t really a “free” day

@sc - Get back to 40 hours a week? What team are you on? I want to apply. We’re so understaffed and overworked most everyone I know easily gets in 60 hours a week.

I haven’t heard anything regarding a RTO initiative but it wouldn’t surprise me that they drop a bo-b at the huddle since that’s the method of delivery the past few years. It certainly doesn’t benefit them to do so as many other companies in the area still offer some sort of hybrid schedule. I think it’s a great way to drive out your last bit of talent.

It’s happening the day after the Huddle. Anyone else hear about the, apparent, upcoming forcing of 5 days in office and many other strict rules designed to inconvenience parents and such? Can’t even pay us appropriately to accommodate these, alleged, upcoming edits to structure. So? Give us the bad news Thursday and play the “good gal” (the new CPO) gives us a half day Friday? The sugar after the slap?
