Am I the only one who's having trouble functioning and doing anything productive as I wait to hear more news about layoffs? I can't understand why it takes a whole week to lay people off. Why can't it be done in one day so that we can all move on with our lives instead of stressing and worrying?

That place is a hellhole. I got out when I could. Reading about these layoffs I see it’s worse than I thought. Heartless leadership that claim to care about people. If you have to say it you probably aren’t. Layoffs are never fun but, once the slap in the face stops stinging and you find something better you will thank them for the mercy they showed you.
Worst company ever. No humanity as how they just took away access in less than 30 minutes and no time to say goodbye to folks you have known for many many years. It is just window dressing in how they talk about a company that cares blah blah blah Good for people who are not staying in this autocracy company.

Keep in mind that this is the largest layoff in the company's history. As a global company, there are different employment laws depending on the country. A single-day layoff would be a huge undertaking.
I was terminated yesterday.
That's why I decided to leave several months ago. The level of procrastination and anxiety was too high, and I stopped sleeping. This is modern human torture.
