For those who have left or have received termination letter, what are the severance amounts vs estimate? Please state YEE and % difference between estimate and actual.

@11x Not everyone received a severance estimate capped at 18 months. Only MPT employees got 18; TAPS employees were capped at 15 months if they had been with the company for over 20 years. Talk about inequality right to the bitter end.
@s7 did you counter more than 1 month, or you countered the 3 weeks estimate with 1 month and still get rejected? I am very surprised if they don't give at least 1 month/yr.
@tr yes the "estimate" (an "estimate") was capped at 18 months for everyone so did not take into consideration any personal factors that may apply.
@sx with 33 years what was your severance estimate? I thought it's capped way below 24 months
@s7 sorry, what did you counter with? I know the law in Alberta so I would be shocked if they actually offer me less than 24 months but I do have 33 years here. 24 would be the min according to common law in Alberta. Are you saying the are offering less than the min?
Countered with help from legal counsel. Rejected. Not worth a lawsuit at this point. @me
Did anyone successful countering 1 month per year?
I was expecting a 12 inch package but got a 6 inch instead…
Not sure why you call it double dipping. Your pension entitlement is already earned up to today. Some variation on the valuation based on the interest rate assumption but I wouldn't call that as bonus/grace from the company. Even if you were terminated today for cause you would still get your present value of your pension. It's yours.
Double dipping - pension and severance - 200%. There is a possibility of triple dipping by coming back as contractor! Very pleased
