The RTI train continues to layoff yet again. Just like the snow in winter, you can count on it.

If I am fired I will have to leave the country. Thanks for all the fun. I never thought that VMware 90s technology would make me rich.

I could have bought 10 villages in my home country with the money I lost in the last week. I am devastated.

Bringing up the same topic over and over again just causes anxiety. Yes, Broadcom will fire people, probably every year. Perhaps even a few times in a year. It is the nature of the beast. Get on with it or get out if you cannot take the heat in the kitchen. Complaining changes nothing .

I heard blah blah blah

The trajectory of employees is heading towards zero day by day.

Find a better job if you are worrying about this cr-p.

10% was let go this month where I work. Wondering if it is the same every where else? Hearing this FY it will be natural attrition and no more big layoffs until the 3rd year anniversary’s massive right sizing.

Pay yourself 90 billion. Fire 90%. Make prices 10x for customers. Pay yourself interest for 80 billion loan.

Don't sell. If you sell you will be fired. If you don't sell then you will lose in the crash.

Truth is the business model is NOT "lay everyone off until none are left!" in reality. I'm in a division that has had ZERO layoffs since it was acquired in 2016. The layoffs happen when you're spending too much compared to revenue, impacting profit. Even in a lemonade stand, if you spend $1.20 for every cup you sell at $1.00 your biz is not going to last, yet that is what all these companies Broadcom bought were doing, so they have to cut to make profit, that simple. It may shock you that it's not about hating and dehumanizing and ruining lives through layoffs that satisfy a cabal's evil intent, it's simple BIZ 101.

@s6 there are too many chiefs AND too many Indians.

You know the country that will ultimately run this operation by looking at the leaders. This is a extortion scheme that will be winding down in a race to the bottom in a couple of years.

My team has 50% slack in India. We are being told more work will come soon. Probably waiting for cuts in high cost countries.

I thought Broadcom was all about efficiency, why are there too many chiefs and not enough indians still ?
Err... this probably isn't the best idiom to describe the mgmt to ic ratio, the majority of both are indian lol

There's no layoffs in December

Indeed, just another wave of RTO assessments for the layoffs next quarter.

If you aren’t being laid off, there are plans to lay you off. Eventually the plan catches up with you.

Too many people in Bangalore doing nothing. Maybe they are waiting for cuts in the high cost geos. Bangalore has enough capacity to replace the rest of the company.
