The first one to fall! Big Dog 2.0! PS and MT next! They are about to start jumping off the sinking ship. State Farm is headed for the biggest one year loss in the history of the company! I'm hearing $12-14 billion dollars +. They got caught with their pants down like last time. Market heading south, crazy inflation/repair costs, having to hire back the 15,000+ employees they ran off, outrageous combined ratio, and all the cr---y business they wrote and are still writing is coming back to haunt!!! This is going to be great to watch and in the scope of this web-site layoffs will happen. Criminals, just flat out criminals! They got their millions and set everyone up for a disaster!

We are growing profitably. All growth should be this way. Bring it on.
I like Rand. Years ago he met with my group and used a sports analogy about team work. Literally, the day before my boss told me she hated sports team analogies. I looked her in the eye and laughed at her while Rand spoke.
Great more GI Joke quotes from the retired and senile agent.
The longer you keep a soldier on the battlefield the more real estate you gain.
Hahahahah-didn’t you just name call? Tough to be your age….
More of the same from the elitists. Name call and rush to judgement.
LOL-your comment regarding Lloyd’s again shows how of touch and uniformed you are. Just like your earlier post regarding a CAT from 30 years ago. Maybe you are just senile?
I feel sorry for the landowners affected by Ian BUT I don't feel sorry for SF nor Lloyd's. God cares about the little man struggling to survive in a world of hate and greed. Executive threw a big party and the backs of the employees and now they are walking out of the party leaving a huge mess for the employees to clean up. They are no different than politicians.
Did you get chow mein with that fortune cookie?
Success is NOT reflected in titles. Success is reflected in the kindness of mankind.
@ymt-good deal. We need low level grunts. Thanks for being one.
@rti. I would rather be a low level peon having freedom and freewill instead of selling my soul to the devil and not being able to sleep at night because of all the people I screwed.
You are truly an imbecile. Yes, executive promotions and retirements/terminations go through the board. They are acutely interested in those running the company and in succession plans/planning. You must be a literal low level peon.
All retirements have to go through the board? For that to happen they have to know they sold their freedom and freewill to Satan.
@lgc-sorry to burst your conspiratorial fantasy but all executive retirements have to go through the board. That is why you see them in “clumps” in Sept., Dec., March and June. Rand will be staying on a bit to help his yet to be named successor make a smooth transition. Again with board approval and support.
So, layoffs in 2023, 2024 or 2025 possibly?
Actually several high level VPs all announced "retirement" this week. Must of all gotten the same package as Claims Ninja YI and the 5 others that "retired" with him! Funny how they all announce at the same time. They have stolen all they can from the mutual book! Rand is being kept on the payroll to stay quiet!!! Agree with OP, losses are astronomical and they will not be able to grow their way out of this problem!
Rand is still remaining a VP with no responsibility, as well as a board member who can vote to award huge bonuses to VP’s with no responsibility. Where do I sign up for that gig?
He jumped ship because under his command SF did not become better.
Rand is not jumping ship-he is retiring. Why? Because he reached full retirement age. His long and successful career included time as an agent and every agency leadership position in the Company. Thanks for his commitment to agency and service to our customers would be more appropriate than your condescending and inaccurate portrayal.
Patton didn't jump ship when times got tough. Patton didn't succumb to the politicians. The generals are asleep at the wheel. Rand would understand this. Patton was proud of his soldiers.
