Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Mass Exodus Nebraska Pallera?

I heard 11 people left the same team and went to Pallera.

Can we nominate a few former Sirius leaders for them to take too? Plenty more I would like to see leave.

@ad Sirius, while HQ in San Antonio, had an office in Omaha. Pellera and Mainline merged last year, going fwd is now Pellera.

@rs Funny how all those same resources created a company that was worth BB. Im sure Pellera owners will be happy to cash out with CDW when it becomes Sirius 2.0 😄 😀

@vf No way. When you have a genius like Mark Chong running the integration, it’s a slam dunk! So good she gave him a promotion!

Surely somebody in the CDW executive office warned Momma Leakey that it was going to be a disaster buying a company like Sirius. We were two entirely different cultures.

Very happy to be at Pellera.

The crows are coming home to roost. Funny how the CDW team reacts to the Sirius crowd.. then moans about lawyers when another company is happy to sn---h them up and build something positive. Good on Pellera (and every other company) that is picking the meat off the bones of the carcass.

@rs To be fair, the resistance to adopt all 3 of those was valid. Systems/processes/comp plan were (and are) several steps backward from what they were used to, and add many more layers of bureaucracy, complexity, and overall reduced profit (bid adders….come on, now).
Let’s also not lose sight that the IMO largely adopted a swim lane approach, and many legacy Sirius coworkers were not granted access to CDW applications for nearly 4 years until the new GTM strategy was executed.
Pellera will not make the same mistakes that produced the mass exodus of high value talent we are witnessing now. They are smarter than that.

Exec team is all pretty much ex Sirius ppl, including CRO.

If that is true… good luck to them! Ha! Have fun dealing with everyone thinking they know better than everyone else. Enjoy them not wanting to follow your policies, use your systems, or go on your comp plans! I am sure that will end well.

What do you call it when one company smartly recruits strategic sales and engineering talent from a failed acquisition/integration? Some folks would prefer not to fight for scraps in procurement to ship wireless mice and surge protectors. Consultative selling is much more rewarding mentally and financially, especially if you have the bench to execute.

Yes they are with us and we are Pellera. We’ve got a few former cdw employees nationally too and they brought very very essential data for marketing and growth.
