In addition to Sales, there are layoffs in FTSE Russell technology (B&I) this Q4.
What a paradox - Bloomberg reporting on job cuts at LSEG
LSEG considers cutting 200 jobs globally, Bloomberg News reports
The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG.L) is considering cutting around 200 jobs globally after its executives conducted a review of its business, Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The cuts will affect less than 1% of the British exchange operator's workforce globally and will largely impact its sales division, the report said.
LSEG declined to comment on the report.

I've been monitoring this site since last year. I wish I found it earlier as I left a highly-organised and mature firm that I could have stayed at. It was also stable and transparent about where the challenges were such as keeping costs down and how they were going to do this in a sustainable way without putting quality at risk. The quality of managers was much much higher too I'm afraid to say.
I've found these layoff 'weather reports' useful and in no way have they negatively impacted my mental health: Quite the opposite as it has forced me to set aside much more money than I would have done and plan and prepare for when I was eventually made redundant just recently. These actions mean my family and I are not stressed and we can weather the storm very comfortably for the foreseeable future.
If you are feeling anxious then maybe it's best to avoid this site for a while and see how things are next year. If you feel insecure in your role due to other factors, then there is no harm in planning and preparing for the worst or at the very least updating your CV with your latest achievements and any new skills you have obtained etc. This should help give you back some control, put your mind at ease and carry on as normal.
As @rkhl+1uPmEmzQ mentions, the reports have been heard through other channels too. I had quite a wide network and built relationships across different teams fairly quickly so I had access to information about future layoffs that corroborated what I read here.
@rgdq+1uPmEmzQ What a load of nonsense - if you are concerned about your mental health, don’t go scrolling through a website regarding ongoing company layoffs. I’ve heard the same about January - it may be uncomfortable, but burying your head in the sand won’t change reality. Awareness is key, and ignoring potential challenges will not make them go away.
People should stop projecting fear (not good mental health) and only make factual statements. Someone just posted new weaves of redundancies coming in January.
More layoffs coming in January. Be ready.
Looks like the comment has been removed/retracted.
@kowt+1uPmEmzQ: Just read that post and one comment stands out :)
@kvbu+1uPmEmzQ sales mostly CSMs. However, disgruntled as some may be, let us consider how many are offering their applause to Caesar:

Anyone know for sure so far what areas are affected?
The GPTW thing is a swindle, like many other industry-specific awards that are either bought outright ("we'll include you on this list if you pay the required $x fee") or carefully pitched by a PR team.
This truly is the "nothing matters" era. Question everything – why not? The truth will never change.
And the irony...

"Companies that make the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® List consistently outperform the market by a factor of 3.68, according to FTSE Russell, the global index and data provider."
Supposedly 20% cut in CSM org
Started today - confirmed some from account management and other from customer success.
what the latest on this?
@dsop+1uPmEmzQ SS needs to stop saying the company will become a "world class product org". The is fraudulent speech as they've fired all the product people and replaced them with ex-bankers or just do whatever Microsoft tells them to do (mainly to the benefit of Microsoft only). You don't become a "world class product org" by having fake product people or ex-bank employees making product decisions.
MB said in town hall that the organization is changing. they will continue to do it. It’s a cycle .
How disgusting?
ELT have other issues to deal with:

More to come next week. Looks like it won’t be cosmetic change. I don’t get this company. You cannot endlessly blow the balloon of cost cuttings. I
Few happened today not sure of the company wide impact. Does anyone have any idea?
The ride begins on Monday. Fasten your seatbelts. LT has already stocked up on popcorn.
@5prj+1uPmEmzQ These are not exactly rumours anymore though, the company re-org has been mentioned by David Schwimmer at town halls as well as other members of the LT with hundreds of roles across different functions affected this past quarter alone.
If anyone feels out of the loop or working remotely, I recommend checking in with your colleagues a little more often or reading up on the recent LSEG/Refinitiv threads on this site with many replies giving a sense of the wider impact. And yes, I've heard it has been confirmed that Sales / Account Management teams will be next on the hit list in Q4.
@5azm+1uPmEmzQ Don't be unkind, not everyone has access to the rumour mill (remote offices etc.) which is why we all come hear to get the scoop before we hear it from HR
The rumours I'm hearing indicate Sales / Account Management would be affected
@ 3icn+1uPmEmzQ Get your head out of the sand.
B&I (FTSE Russell) have a new CTO so he'll be forging ahead with his agenda over the coming months. He has a fatberg of technical debt and a chronic lack of platform health to lean into.
Cuts this quarter were informally mentioned last month, but "everybody in the room is safe".
Going on the outcomes earlier this year you could be waiting until next month to be notified.
Digging around the other threads on here some of the layoffs/redundencies sound like sham redundancies. However, since the tech and environment is so poor across the board I don't think that's a problem for those being 'let go'.
What re-org, where?
Any context? Department? What silence?
