If you don't get promotions or raises after 2-3 years, just leave. The traditional career ladder is pretty much dead, and the best way to get a raise or promotion is through job hopping.

@rd maybe they have a growth mindset instead of fixed.
Yes but many people in this place falsely believe they are better than what they actually are and expect to be promoted.
Yeah Ive done contract before and I felt we are just a bunch of w2 contractors

If you can read in focused manner, you will see where it is mentioned that the job market is in the infancy of turning around. It is always the last piece to get moving again. Does that help you to understand now?
@aq I mean, if the economy were really that good, then I believe many of us would have already left this company.
The economy is recovering nicely through honest means and controls. Prices, interest rates, debt all coming down. The job market is in the infancy of opening up again.
Contrast that with BNY run by an effete British snob. This place is non stop firings. Non stop cutting benefits and putting them out of reach. Constantly goint to an austerity budget and hiring in India for cheap low grade filler.
All people do not want to be contractors. They want stability, reliability, growth and dependability.
BNY under RV has decided to treat people people in the US and UK like children in a haunted house to scare away. This is not normal. It’s a sign of no leadership and poor vision. As the economy takes off, hopefully many of us do too by getting away from BNY.
