Are the job postings on Elevance real? Are they really hiring after all the rifs and rebadging?

Folks are being hired
@r9+1jmm2nyp7 They are using AI to screen applicants. You need to use keywords in your resume to get through the screener. I have a skills section that is bullet pointed in three columns with skills that can act like keywords for the applications.
They definitely feel fake. I was laid off in November, and since then I've applied for several jobs but haven't even landed an interview. I receive denial emails within 24 hours of applying despite 20 years experience.
I heard they are not hiring external candidates from a source, is it real? If you are gone from elevance for a while or started working with another company you are considered external. I could-not believe that
The employer must also inform U.S. workers of the intent to hire a foreign worker by posting the completed LCA, for the position. The posting must occur within the 30-day period preceding the date that the labor condition application is submitted to the DOL.
The job postings are real. The company is FAKE, and a scam
I was ousted in November, and I actually have an interview next week for a position I applied for last month. So yes, they are hiring.
Salary is probably half of what the previous employee was paid.
I have noticed when there is a big rift the open positions they rifted people can apply for are soon under a hiring freeze.
Why would you want to work here. Just read the posts on this site.
They have a posting for a Director of Technology posted yesterday and it will expire today! Such a shady way to appoint your favorite!
The initial screener is ATS. Make sure that's your resume format and that you use keywords from the job posting.
Pay attention to how long a job is posted for. Less than two weeks is probably targeted, meaning they know who they're hiring.
Ask your manager or mentor to ask the hiring manager. They're more likely to be honest on whether it's targeted. Ask your manager or mentor to refer you directly to the hiring manager.
It's a tough time right now. There are jobs I wanted to apply for but didn't because who knows what areas are truly safe from rif or rebadge. Focus on working for a good manager and good team, not even the job function since that could change. Dealing with this toxic environment without that is brutal.
Positions shift ALL the time. It may be the same title because there are a limited amount of those, but it can be in a different organization, it just didn't move yet or they have someone moving into the position so they must post for an easy transition in Workday. Some orgs are doing better than others and considering tons of leaders are moving around too, they are taking positions with them.
I work in finance. It depends on the position. The competition internally can be massive, timing of your application matters if they already shortlisted, people may reject the offer so it may be reposted, there may be opposing views on the position itself from a leader perspective, they may move the position entirely to a new org to repurpose/eliminate and sometimes it's posted as a req before monies are determined. In conclusion, there is a ton of back and forth that goes on and honestly it's not the s-xiest part of my career.
From a personal experience: I've gotten three new positions both lateral and promotions in the past decade, most recent being 8 months ago.
What helped me: Networking, having development and future plan conversations with my leaders during 1:1s, joining the mentorship program that finance has, finding a mentor outside of finance via career hub, etc. Standing out is important especially since many of these req get up to 100+ apps.
I’ve applied internally, via Pulse, for like 30 positions and I’ve never even got an interview. According to the job listings, I am qualified for these positions. I am totally convinced they are not real and they just send you an automated denied email after a few days. I’m not saying ALL job listings are fake, but a majority of them are. The real ones have a location of the Philippines and India…
Actually they did post for the exact same job they just riffed. They didn’t change the title at all. Thanks for trying to be “technical” but what difference does it make when this is a common practice? It’s a slap in the face either way.
Riffed positions are renamed & posted. The people are hired but paid less than the people who were riffed. Humana, Aetna, UHC all do the same. It’s a damn shame to do this when cost of living is constantly rising, people take the lesser pay because they need a job. Sad.
Not quite… They can’t post for the same role if they rif … but I have seen them post for same job different job title
Unfortunately yes. Sad thing is I’ve seen them riff people and before the 30days was up on the riffed person, their backfills posted. I don’t know how that makes any sense. If you need to downsize how do you justify an immediate backfill. We do work for a shady a-s company.
