If you're in Claims, the answer is YES. Metrics matter and are everywhere. Eventually there will be workload balancing, or a reduction in staff. If in other project or service related areas, the drifting will likely be allowed to continue as who would notice or care?

Why not use the time to upskill and find yourself another job or at least prepare yourself for the possibility of redundancy and having to find a new job - be able to hit the ground running once the axe falls!
I have been actively not working for two years. (I do about 8 hours of work a week). Do enough to be considered engage and ask your boss for higher visibility projects if you’re worried

It’s not that I don’t want to be doing nothing. The work just isn’t coming. And no, I was off the clock when I posted. Nice try though.
