Many senior folks like SVP and above left in last few weeks. Even some resigned from Altair acquisition. Whenever sales people jump a boat there is a sign...I know a director they hired a year ago in EDA side and has left as well. What's going on? Any insight is helpful...

It is just a start, Siemens owns a lot of campus and offices everywhere, and I am pretty sure they are mostly empty and difficult to lease.
@r1 Are other product teams really zero return? I find it hard to believe
Have the layoffs started? It's quiet in my department.
The email from Tony H. made it clear. Layoffs are coming, not just for EDA but for the whole company. Second half of fiscal year 2026, so that's around March.
@r6 they just lost it badly. No one is going to buy their tools. M. Ellow, M Bueller and B. Haiser understood it well. Don't join that sinking ship...unless you want to be back in job market later this year... Synopsys is the king
Not just EDA having layoffs. EDA is in T&I and entire dept is changing. So big effect on other groups. Top director get promoted to VP level and want organizational changes. Look like fine tuning, that how one manager say it. AI dev is confusion. Status in red. So expect fine tuning go to layoffs and survivors being moved around.
@OP
Well the challenge is there tools are way behind from PnR, Power/IR, SI/PI to EM extraction. It's impossible for them to compete now. Except Calibre, Xpedition and Tassent all products are nero zero returns. It's time bo-b of layoff to join any other team... Max 6 Mon O 1 yr. FYI..One of the retiring sales director shared this insight.
