Do you think there may be small/medium/large Expeditors layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

They have been working on moving all their IT to India for years. It's likely the reason Jeff Mussef stepped down and part if the reason Peter Rose stepped down. Most of us have been expecting this. They've been picking us off by change to working conditions over the last couple of years. This without a doubt will not be the only layoff to hit the US IT staff.
At the same time India is now worried and people have been leaving. They were just like us. Loyal to the company, until the company is no longer loyal to us. Very sad day for Expeditors and 100% goes against the founders' vision for the company.
Yes, they do. They just let 230 employees go from their IS department today June 8th 2026.

Confirmed: Layoffs are happening today (6/8/2026).
CIO said that no layoffs were never the company's policy in the recent all-hands meeting.
