I know the closings and cuts have just started. Is there any way to know what could be next?

@xp yeah thats exactly what they said about my team just before the rif and the whole team moved 100% to India
No layoff!! All this stress for nothing.
Y'all need to focus on your work instead of stressing everyone out.
@zm so it has nothing to do with layoff this time?
They sent a detailed email and the director came to our huddle. Honestly, I am happy for this as we need the help. They explained this is not to offshore lpax but to help us with volume. For the majority of the year we have had little to no off queue, multiple rounds of mandatory overtime and voluntary overtime all year. They have hired several classes and had several other departments help us with overflow. This still isn’t enough for the volume that will come in for peak so they said they are getting the offshore to handle that.
@xp How do you know LPAX is going offshore?
LPAX is partially going off shore but they say it’s just back up.
Wayfair is closing Erlanger, KY warehouse, laying off over 200 employees by fall of 2026. Starting in January through September. Google it.
Someone ask some executive and report back. What about the engineer that's leaving in a month? Help us out brotha
Interesting. That would explain the global town hall next week (haven’t we always had one right after a RIF). Odd timing on the heels of WayDay. There definitely seems to be something happening. I know nothing. Just sensing something is off.
Anyone know which depts are affected?
Which depts?
@qr says who?
This FRIDAY! :(
You realize peak is after wayday… while I don’t agree with a lot of Wayfair’s decisions they ain’t completely stupid. If they are going to do another layoff it will be January February time, after peak volume has gone down
It will happen after Way Day.
Wayfairs focus will be on opening retail stores, they have to cut jobs in corp and customer service to create the new growth. Layoffs are inevitable.
A deep recession is on its way, people will not be buying furniture, except job losses.
Customer service bloodbath coming. They normally get rid of upper management before it happens and today a few of the top managers quit. Get ahead of whats coming and look for job postings in other depts or away from Wayfair. Do not sit and do nothing and then act shocked when the email goes out saying your job has been eliminated. Management is looking to cost cut and off shore hiring is how they will achieve their goal.
Just because the head of service has decided to leave doesn’t mean major changes are coming
I heard boston layoffs are coming as well
I have heard more outsourcing to JSL, I am very worried about these changes.
Customer service, the top manager just quit today. Major changes are coming.
I can't stop worrying about this.
